Second single from TGAOG. In many places, it became 'This is the New *Hit' - the 's' dropped to get past the censors. It got very little airplay promotion and reached number 29 in the UK singles chart.

The Goldfrapp remix is one of the best and most fun MM remixes, but I'm not fond of the Mind of a Lunatic cover.

Well we thought this was to be the third single from TGAOG, but now we know it AINT.

Early in 2004, the website of former bass player Brad Stewart aka Gidget Gein had this to say about filming the sAINT video:

Various points of business included Gein's art being featured in the new Marilyn Manson video sAINT. Keep an Eye out for said video where you can see GEIN's sculpture "In Case of Emergency Break Heart". The video was directed by the very talented Asia Argento who now owns the sculpture featured in the video. Also in the video is an unrecognizable GEIN who plays a degenerate girl next door/MILF who helps Manson "down the spiral". The video looks great but who knows if anyone will ever see it due to the offensive subject matter.

Thus giving a clue as to why - in March 2004 - we were still waiting to see it. Gein thought it might be out by September but withdrew his comment in late March. But by then there was news of the saint video appearing on a DVD later in 2004.
